Martha Stewart has nothing on me and my kids.

We started perfecting s’mores a few summers ago. We have no idea why people still take only marshmallows, Hershey bars, and graham crackers to the fire pit. Here are some things we recommend for your last few summer roasting events…imagine the combos…

Cookies: Ginger Snaps, ThinMints, Samoa’s

Candy: any dark chocolate, thin mints, York Peppermint Patty’s

Ghiradelli’s chocolate squares: caramel, mint, dark chocolate

Spreads: peanut butter, caramel, Nutello

Chocolate covered graham crackers, the new LARGE marshmallows – these are efficiency moves

Two of our favorites:

  1. Toast the marshmallow perfectly (this is key and requires patience), slip it between two gingersnaps and one after dinner mint – YUM!
  2. Next marshmallow goes between a graham cracker and a dark chocolate & caramel square (Ghiradelli’s may have the best.)
One last tip…you can use up all of those individually foil-wrapped Easter eggs by poking them into a perfectly roasted marshmallow and slipping the combo between your 2 favorite cookies!
