News Update from TCNG Staff. January 26, 2012

The Center for the Next Generation’s sister organization Advanced Energy Economy announced last month a partnership with American Council on Renewable Energy (ACORE) to understand the needs of the U.S. Department of Defense (DOD) with respect to advanced energy technologies that reduce costs and save lives. Areas already identified by DOD include identifying operational, base and expeditionary challenges and potential renewable energy solutions; improving the collaboration between the U.S. military and private sector; removing barriers to deployment; and strategies for effective procurement and financing. AEE is uniquely positioned to help the DOD meet these challenges.

To accomplish this goal, both organizations are putting on a multi-part forum series to bring industry and the DOD together. The first forum session took place on January 26th in Crystal City, VA.
